It is that time of the month – the Urban Jungle Bloggers are upon us! And this is the last planty styling topic before the summer break. Reason enough for me to pick one among my roughly 40 plants to be the star of this month’s topic ‘One plant – three stylings’. I’ve decided to use my small Oxalis triangularis plant that I grew from a propagated stem (maybe you remember its first appearance in THIS Urban Jungle Bloggers post). It has grown more stems and has even bloomed in the meantime, so here we go with the purple baby in three different plant stylings.

I haven’t gone too wild and too experimental as I always prefer to keep it in tune with my interior styling and my personal likings. So the first simple styling is very moi – I have simply placed the little beauty in its vintage ceramics planter on my vintage teak bureau, surrounded by crystals, a scented candle and a vintage basket. I love the earthy look with all the brown hues that are highlighted by the purple accent of the plant and the amethyst.

The second styling is a tad more colourful thanks to a few new little Voltasol plant pots with a semi-conical base. You might remember that I had the big white one for quite a while. Now the family has grown with a little yellow and pink version. The pink Voltasol pot seemed perfect to host my purple Oxalis which had the pleasure to strike a pose with a Ponytail palm, a succulent, an airplant and a colourful bunch of flowers from Bloomon. Hello summer styling!

The third version is again very earthy and boho – and yes, very much my style currently. This time the Oxalis mingles with a plethora of ceramics, vintage finds, figurines, and books. It is my little sideboard that hosts an ever growing collection of vintage items found on flea markets, on my travels and online. Notice the little extra dash of colour thanks to some Billy Buttons (Craspedia).

The little Oxalis seems to be a pretty versatile fellow and makes a good figure in all kind of settings. Even when simply placed on the wonderful graphic mudcloth from Africa! Isn’t she a cutie?!

Now this is the last Urban Jungle Bloggers edition before the summer break but it is special too – if you upload one of your plant stylings to the ‘Urban Jungle’ category on at{mine} until June 30th, you will be in the draw to win a SONY compact camera with WiFi! So hop over and upload your image! Fingers crossed!
